The Android app becomes installable — grab it from the QR code on the home page, or through Google Play’s testing programme. Same account and progress as the web app, and it sets the stage for device features like optional local study reminders.

Bookverse gets its own home — the site and app move from bookverse.heyedd.com to bookverse.com, and the API to api.bookverse.com. Old links redirect permanently, accounts and progress carry over untouched.

The catalogue grows from one language to twelve — Korean, English, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Russian join Mandarin, each anchored to its official framework (TOPIK, JLPT, CEFR, TORFL, …). The app interface itself now runs in 12 languages, and course content carries per-line translations so you can study any course from any of them.

The app goes to production — free during the beta, starting with the Mandarin HSK 3.0 course. The web app runs in any browser; native builds follow.

The dashboard settles into its shape — a day-streak and days-this-month pair of stats, your current course/band/chapter at a glance, and Today’s Study Items as a grid of section cards with a single Study button that jumps to the next thing.

Every dialogue line gains a Speak button — record yourself, and the app transcribes what was actually heard and shows a word-by-word comparison against the target line. The match is pinyin-tolerant for Mandarin, so a right-sounding syllable counts even when the recognizer picks a homophone character.

The first chapters of the Mandarin course go in — Band 1 chapters 1-4 and Band 2 chapters 1-2 — with vocabulary and grammar audited against the HSK 3.0 standards. Cross-band borrowings are explicitly flagged in the data, so a chapter always tells you when a word comes from a level above.
