Mi rutinaMy routine
The daily routine with reflexive verbs. A reflexive verb takes a pronoun that "returns" to the subject: me levanto (I get up), te levantas, se levanta. The pronoun (me/te/se) goes BEFORE the verb: Me ducho por la mañana. Parts of the day: la mañana, la tarde, la noche. And the regular -ar verbs: trabajar, escuchar, descansar. New vocabulary: levantarse, ducharse, mañana, tarde, noche, mes, año, escuchar, trabajar, descansar, siempre.

Reflexive verbs
Explanation
Many routine actions are reflexive: the action "returns" to the subject (you get yourself up). The infinitive ends in -se: levantarse, ducharse, llamarse. When conjugating, the -se becomes a pronoun that goes BEFORE the verb: (yo) me levanto, (tú) te levantas, (él/ella) se levanta, (nosotros) nos levantamos, (ellos) se levantan. The English mistake is to forget the pronoun: "levanto a las siete" → "me levanto a las siete". Regular -ar verbs (non-reflexive) conjugate the same way, without a pronoun: trabajo, escuchas, descansa. For the time of day: por la mañana / por la tarde / por la noche.
