其实 + clause — "actually / in fact"

Explanation

`其实 + clause` voices "actually / in fact" — softens a correction or reveals what was hidden. 其实我没去 / 其实我也学到了很多. Softer than 但是, shorter than ch38's 不是 X 而是 Y. Position: after subject or fronted as a topic. Negate: 其实不 / 其实没. Close to English "actually".

Explanation

Grammar-01 was 其实 (actually). This revisits ch27's "也…也…" to look back on the year's two sides: 这一年, 我学了很多, 也认识了很多人. 工作也顺利, 生活也开心. Parallel clauses summing up — fitting for a closing chapter.
