Days of the week and the particle "에" before a time. Days: 월요일 (Mon), 화요일 (Tue), 수요일 (Wed), 목요일 (Thu), 금요일 (Fri), 토요일 (Sat), 일요일 (Sun), and 주말 (weekend). Ask with "무슨 요일이에요?". Before a specific time (a day or clock time) you add "에": 월요일에, 세 시에. But 오늘/내일/어제 take NO "에" (오늘에 ✗ → 오늘 ✓). New words: 요일, 월요일, 화요일, 수요일, 목요일, 금요일, 토요일, 일요일, 주말, 오늘, 내일, 어제. Hangul corner: reading day names (ㄹ 받침).

The time particle "에" (오늘/내일 are exceptions)

Explanation

Adding "에" after a specific time makes it "at/on". Attach it to days and clock times: 월요일에 (on Monday), 세 시에 (at 3 o'clock), 주말에 (on the weekend). But there is a very important exception — 오늘, 내일, 어제, 지금 take NO "에". "오늘에" ✗ → "오늘" ✓. Watch out for the mistake of copying English "on/at" and saying "오늘에". To ask the day: "무슨 요일이에요?" (What day is it?) — the answer is "월요일이에요."

Examples

오늘은 무슨 요일이에요? — 월요일이에요.What day is it today? — It's Monday.
월요일에 시간 있어요?Do you have time on Monday?
내일 시간 있어요. (내일에 ✗)I have time tomorrow. (내일에 ✗ — no 에)
