Describing people人を描写する
人の見た目と性格について話します。性質には「be」を使い — She is tall、He is kind — 特徴には「have」を使う — She has long hair、He has blue eyes。比べるときは短い語に -er を付ける：taller、older、younger。多くの言語はどんな比較にも「more」を使うので、学習者は「more tall」と言う；英語では短い語に -er：「taller」、「more tall」ではない。

More tall or taller?— more tall それとも taller？

Explanation
人を描写する動詞は二つ。性質には「be」+ 形容詞：She is tall。He is kind。They are funny。特徴には「have」+ 特徴：She has long hair。He has blue eyes。I have glasses。二人を比べるときは短い形容詞に -er を付けて「than」を続ける：tall → taller、old → older、young → younger。She is taller than me。長い形容詞は前に「more」：beautiful → more beautiful。二つを混ぜない：「taller」であって「more tall」ではない。多くの言語はすべての比較を一語（「더」= more）で示すので、学習者は「more tall」に手を伸ばす — でも英語の短い語は代わりに -er を取る。
