이 사람은 누구예요?Who is this person?

I sarameun nuguyeyo?

Point at people and things with 이·그·저 (이 = near me, 그 = near you or already mentioned, 저 = far from both). The pointing word comes before the noun: 이 사람, 그 친구, 저 분. Ask "누구예요?" with 누구 (who), and learn grandparents (할아버지·할머니), 보다·가다·오다, and 사진·곳. Note 저 is also "I (humble)" — context tells them apart.

Demonstratives 이 / 그 / 저 + noun

Explanation

이·그·저 are pointing words and come before a noun. 이 = near the speaker, 그 = near the listener or already mentioned, 저 = far from both. To be polite about a person, use 분 instead of 사람: 저 분 (that person, honorific).

누구 (who) · the two meanings of 저

Explanation

누구 is the question word for an unknown person — word order stays the same; put 누구 where the unknown is: "이 사람은 누구예요?". One caution: 저 has two meanings — "I (humble)" (ch3) and "that one over there" (this chapter). Context and a following noun tell them apart: 저는 = "as for me", 저 사람 = "that person over there".
