Asking and saying no: लाग्यो? लागेन
Explanation
To ask, a question mark is enough: तिमीलाई जाडो लाग्यो? "are you cold?" You can also offer both answers: थकाइ लाग्यो कि लागेन? "are you tired or not?", with कि "or". To say no, use लागेन: जाडो लागेन "I'm not cold". A short answer is the verb alone: लाग्यो "yes", लागेन "no".
Examples
- भोकलाग्यो?Are you hungry?
- भोकलागेन।I'm not hungry.
- तिर्खालाग्योकिलागेन?Are you thirsty or not?
- लाग्यो!Yes! (I am)
