TempatPlaces
Place vocabulary: tempat (place), bank, rumah sakit (hospital), sekolah (school), stasiun (station), apotek (pharmacy), plus the position words sebelah (next to), depan (front), belakang (behind), seberang (opposite). Key grammar: say where something is with "ada di" + position — "Bank ada di sebelah pasar" (the bank is next to the market), "Apotek ada di depan stasiun". IMPORTANT: for location use "ada" (not "adalah"); "adalah" only links X = Y (ch18). English speakers, used to "The bank IS next to…", slip in "adalah" — "Bank adalah di…" ✗ → "Bank ada di…" ✓.

Location: "ada di" + position (not "adalah")
Explanation
To say where something is, use "ada di" + position: "Bank ada di sebelah pasar" (the bank is located beside the market). "Ada" means "to be located / to exist there"; "di" marks the place (ch14). Positions: di sebelah (next to), di depan (in front of), di belakang (behind), di seberang (opposite), di dekat (near). Ask where with "… ada di mana?": "Apotek ada di mana?" (where is the pharmacy?). IMPORTANT: do not use "adalah" for location. Remember ch18: "adalah" only links two nouns that are the SAME (Dia adalah guru = she = teacher). A location is not "equals", so use "ada", not "adalah". English speakers, used to "The bank IS next to…", say "Bank adalah di…" — wrong. Correct: "Bank ada di…".
