ซื้อของShopping
Shopping vocabulary: ซื้อ, ขาย, ร้าน, ตลาด, ซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ต, ลูกค้า, คนขาย, สินค้า, เปิด, ปิด. Key grammar: "อยาก + verb" to say what you want to do — อยากซื้อ (want to buy), อยากขาย (want to sell). After "อยาก" you always need a verb. English speakers say "want a shirt" (อยาก + noun) and forget the verb — "อยากเสื้อ" ✗ → "อยากได้เสื้อ" ✓. Tone corner: the tones in the shopping words.

อยาก + verb (a verb is required)
Explanation
To say what you want to do, use "อยาก + verb": อยากซื้อ (want to buy), อยากขาย (want to sell), อยากไป (want to go). Important: after "อยาก" there must always be a "verb" — never a noun directly. If you want a "thing", use "อยากได้ + noun": อยากได้เสื้อ (want to get a shirt). English speakers say "I want a shirt" (want + noun) and so say "อยากเสื้อ" ✗ → "อยากได้เสื้อ" ✓. To ask: "อยากซื้ออะไร" (what do you want to buy?). Chain it with the classifier you learned (ch12): "อยากซื้อเสื้อสองตัว" (want to buy two shirts).
Examples
- คุณอยากซื้ออะไรWhat do you want to buy?
- ผมอยากซื้อเสื้อสองตัวI want to buy two shirts.
- ผมอยากได้กระเป๋าI want a bag.
- คนขายอยากขายสินค้าThe seller wants to sell goods.
