Places in town町の場所
場所とその位置：place, school, hospital, bank, station, park, next to, behind, in front of, near。核心文法は「Where is …?」と場所の前置詞で答える：The bank is next to the shop。英語は動詞「is」が主語のすぐ後に来る：bank + IS + next to the shop。多くの言語は動詞を最後に置くので、学習者は「The bank next to the shop is」✗ →「The bank is next to the shop」✓ と言う。

「Where is …?」と場所の語
Explanation
何かがどこにあるか聞くには「Where is」+ 場所：Where is the bank? 答えるときは主語を先に、次に IS、次に場所の語：The bank is next to the shop。ほかの場所の語：behind（The park is behind the school）、in front of（The station is in front of the hospital）、near（The bank is near the park）。大事なのは語順：主語 + is + 場所。多くの言語は動詞を最後に置く（「The bank the shop next to is」）ので、英語では「is」を主語のすぐ後に持ってくるのを忘れずに。
