Places in town Orte in der Stadt
Orte und wo sie sind: place, school, hospital, bank, station, park, next to, behind, in front of, near. Die Kerngrammatik ist „Where is …?" und mit einer Ortspräposition antworten: The bank is next to the shop. Im Englischen kommt das Verb „is" gleich nach dem Subjekt: bank + IS + next to the shop. Koreanisch stellt das Verb ganz ans Ende, daher sagen Koreanischsprachige „The bank next to the shop is" ✗ → „The bank is next to the shop" ✓. Aussprache-Ecke: „hospital", das „-tion" von station und das Verbinden von „next to".

Grammar
"Where is …?" and place words „Where is …?" und Ortswörter
To ask where something is, say "Where is" + the place: Where is the bank? To answer, put the subject first, then IS, then the place word: The bank is next to the shop. Other place words: behind (The park is behind the school), in front of (The station is in front of the hospital), near (The bank is near the park). The important thing is word order: subject + is + place. Korean puts the verb at the very end ("The bank the shop next to is"), so in English remember to bring "is" up right after the subject.
Um zu fragen, wo etwas ist, sag „Where is" + der Ort: Where is the bank? Zum Antworten zuerst das Subjekt, dann IS, dann das Ortswort: The bank is next to the shop. Andere Wörter: behind (The park is behind the school), in front of (The station is in front of the hospital), near (The bank is near the park). Wichtig ist die Wortstellung: Subjekt + is + Ort. Koreanisch stellt das Verb ganz ans Ende („The bank the shop next to is"), also denk im Englischen daran, „is" gleich hinter das Subjekt zu holen.
- Where is the bank? — It's next to the shop. Wo ist die Bank? — Neben dem Geschäft.
- The park is behind the school. Der Park ist hinter der Schule.
- The station is in front of the hospital. Der Bahnhof ist vor dem Krankenhaus.
- The bank is near my house. Die Bank ist in der Nähe von meinem Haus.
