On va au cinéma ?Shall we go to the cinema?
Making plans and inviting. Vocabulary: le projet, l'invitation, inviter, voyager, la fête, le cinéma, ensemble, libre, peut-être, se retrouver. Key point: the near future is formed with « aller + infinitive », WITHOUT a preposition: « Je vais voyager » (I am going to travel), « Elle va étudier », « Nous allons manger ». English speakers (« going TO ») add an « à » — « Je vais à voyager » ✗ → « Je vais voyager » ✓. To invite, you say « On va + infinitive ? » (= let's): « On va au cinéma ? » (Shall we go to the cinema?), « On va manger ? », or « Ça te dit de + infinitive ? » (Do you feel like…?). You accept with « Oui, avec plaisir ! » (Yes, gladly!), « D'accord ! »; you decline with « Désolé, je ne peux pas aujourd'hui, peut-être demain » (Sorry, I can't today, maybe tomorrow).

Near future: aller + infinitive; inviting with « On va… ? »
Explanation
To say what you are going to do soon, you use the verb « aller » + the infinitive — nothing between the two. You conjugate only « aller »: je vais, tu vas, il/elle/on va, nous allons, vous allez, ils vont. « Je vais voyager demain » (I am going to travel tomorrow), « Elle va étudier », « On va manger dehors », « Ils vont danser ». Never put « à » between the two: English speakers (« going TO ») and Spanish speakers (« ir A ») say « Je vais à voyager » ✗; the correct form is « Je vais voyager » ✓. The same « on va + infinitive » form is used to INVITE, like the English « let's »: « On va au cinéma ? », « On va manger ? ». Other ways to invite: « Tu veux venir ? » (Do you want to come?), « Ça te dit d'aller à la plage ? » (Do you feel like going to the beach?). To accept: « Oui, avec plaisir ! », « D'accord ! ». To decline politely: « Désolé, je ne peux pas aujourd'hui, peut-être demain ».
