식당에서At the restaurant
Ordering at a restaurant. The object particle "을/를": with a 받침 use "을" (밥을 먹어요), without one use "를" (커피를 마셔요). To ask politely use "주세요" (please give): 물 주세요, 메뉴 주세요. New words: 식당, 메뉴, 물, 밥, 커피, 차, 우유, 빵, 주문하다. Hangul corner: tense final consonants (밥, 빵) and the sound of "을/를".

The object "을/를" and "주세요"
Explanation
After the object (what you eat or drink) you add "을/를". The rule is simple: if the word has a 받침 use "을" (밥을, 빵을), if not use "를" (커피를, 우유를). So "밥을 먹어요", "커피를 마셔요". To ask politely at a restaurant, use noun + "주세요" (please give me): 물 주세요, 메뉴 주세요. (In requests "을/를" is often dropped.) English speakers often wrongly add "를" to a word with a 받침 — "밥를" ✗, "밥을" ✓.
