Key grammar: weather is said with adjectives — "날씨가 더워요" (it is hot), "날씨가 추워요" (it is cold), "날씨가 맑아요" (it is clear). Rain and snow use "오다" (to come) — "비가 와요" (it rains), "눈이 와요" (it snows), like the verbs from ch18. "덥다, 춥다" are ㅂ-irregular, so they become "더워요, 추워요". Weather: "날씨가 더워요", "비가 와요"

Explanation

Weather is said with adjectives, not with "이에요/예요". "[weather/season]이/가 + adjective": 날씨가 더워요 (it is hot), 날씨가 추워요 (it is cold), 날씨가 맑아요 (it is sunny), 날씨가 흐려요 (it is cloudy). "덥다, 춥다" are ㅂ-irregular — the final ㅂ becomes "워": 덥다 → 더워요, 춥다 → 추워요. Rain and snow use not an adjective but the verb "오다" (to come → 와요): 비가 와요 (it rains), 눈이 와요 (it snows), 바람이 불어요 (the wind blows, from 불다). Copying English "It is rain / It is hot" as "오늘은 비예요" or "날씨가 더위예요" is wrong — rain is "비가 와요", heat is "날씨가 더워요". With seasons: "여름에 더워요" (it is hot in summer), "겨울에 추워요" (it is cold in winter), like the time "에" from ch17.
